Supports for Community Living (SCL)
The SCL Program is a community based program under Kentucky’s Medicaid program and was developed for residents as an alternative to institutional care for persons with mental retardation or developmental disabilities. SCL allows people to remain in or return to their community.
In addition to meeting the basic requirements for the SCL Program, we strive to assist all consumers in becoming happier and more productive. We continue to explore additional opportunities to enhance the lives of consumers we serve.
Michelle P. Waiver
The Michelle P. Waiver (MPW) is a home and community-based waiver under the Kentucky Medicaid program developed as an alternative to institutional care for individuals with mental retardation or developmental disabilities. MPW allows individuals to remain in their homes with services and supports.

MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of Cypress Community Services is to provide excellent support and services to all consumers. Our goal is to maintain the dignity of each consumer, ensure social integration, self-awareness and the development of an independent lifestyle. In keeping with this mission, we believe that all individuals must be given opportunities to be supported in the community, remain connected to family and friends, be empowered and have the right to make informed decisions in all aspects of their lives.

Community Services, a SCL Provider, opened its doors in November of 2008.
We presently have an Adult Day Training Program and a beautiful home located
off Clays Mill in a newer neighborhood. It has three bedrooms, two
baths, a two car garage, a huge deck, good sized yard and a garden where we are
growing tomatoes, cucumbers, banana peppers, corn, carrots and an assortment of
plants and flowers.
